Awful Day Ever

It all started with a case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was running out the door, I stumbled and spilled all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely late for a very important appointment.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
